The Krass Community Collection is a celebration of art, music, and fashion, featuring eight emerging fashion designers who have collaborated to create four unique looks using hand-drawn, hand-printed fabrics. The debut event, happening on March 7th, will not only showcase these stunning designs but also highlight the personal projects of each designer.
The experience will be enhanced by an immersive set designed by three local artists, with a soundtrack provided by Sophia Harari and a performance directed by choreographer Isaac Glenister. The night will continue with a lively lineup of live music and DJ sets brought to you by The Witching Hour, making it an unforgettable fusion of creativity across multiple mediums.
The collection focuses on bridging the gap between couture and ready-to-wear fashion through adjustable, Japanese-inspired silhouettes that allow the clothes to accentuate the figure while ensuring accessibility for a wider range of body types. The fabrics are adorned with intricate designs rooted in European folklore, using symbolism to subtly address pressing social issues, such as the loss of privacy, over-commodification, and propaganda-driven divide.
